Peach Cobbler
Classic southern dessert from Boy Scouts.
- 0.25 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp corn starch
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 0.25 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup milk
- canned peaches 7 oz.
- 1 cup self rising flour
- 1.25 cups sugar
- 1 stick unsalted butter
- optional vanilla ice cream
1. Melt one stick butter in baking pan. | |
2. Mix one cup self rising flour and one cup sugar in bowl. | |
3. While mixing, add one cup of cold milk and stir. | |
4. In another bowl, empty canned peaches and add 1 tsp cinnamon, vanilla extract, and corn starch, then add quarter teaspoon of nutmeg, one teaspoon vanilla extract, quarter teaspoon salt, and one tablespoon of corn starch. | |
5. Pour 3/4 of batter into buttered baking pan, and layer peaches on top. Then, add the rest of batter on top. | |
6. Mix sugar and cinnamon and add on top for crust, then bake on 350 for 1 - 1.5 hours. | |
7. Let it rest before serving. Optional Serve with vanilla ice cream. |
